Dr. Schankman recognizes the importance of telephone communication with his clients.  He has established a telephone calling hour Monday through Friday between 7-8:00 AM.  This time frame is reserved for setting up appointments and brief discussions about your horse or other issues you may have.  Oftentimes, problems are discovered first thing in the morning, such as colic, a laceration, a horse that won't eat, etc.  It is comforting to know that you can reach the doctor directly during this calling hour.  Non emergency phone calls received after the calling hour will be returned later in the day.  Please leave a message in our voice mail system and your call will be returned.
